keymapgen

Visual keyboard remapping with layers, exported to keyd or AutoHotkey.

JavaScript Web keyd AutoHotkey

Open keymapgen Runs entirely in the browser — nothing is uploaded.

A browser tool for designing keyboard layouts. You remap keys on a virtual keyboard, stack multiple layers on top of each other, and export the result as a keyd configuration or an AutoHotkey script. It parses existing configs back in, so a layout you already hand-wrote can be loaded and edited visually instead of being rebuilt from scratch.

It grew out of wanting a layout I could reason about as a whole rather than as a config file diff — and out of the observation that layer-based layouts are much easier to design when you can see them.
